With gray hair comes lots of experience and sometimes a little wisdom.

I’m so pleased that you’ve decided to visit my website. My hope is that this website will help you weave deeper meaning into the special American days that occur throughout the changing seasons of the year. You can also find some tips for everyday life that may make your life just a little bit better.
If you’re a follower of Christ, I hope you will join me in trying to stay focused on Christ throughout the year. Let’s follow the advice we find in Hebrews 12:1-2, saying, “. . . let us run with patience the race [of the Christian life] that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross . . .” [KJV]. Many of the posts on this website are designed to help us keep that focus. You can use this website to encourage a life of faith in your family. If you don’t have family members with whom you can share your life, perhaps you share some of your life with others in the “family of God.”
Clicking on a subcategory under a particular holiday or special day above will take you to some information or ideas that may enrich your experience of that holiday or special day. For instance, clicking on a Christmas sub-category might take you to some thoughts about the real meaning of Christmas, instructions for a set of handmade Christmas ornaments, or some fun Christmas games. Clicking on an Easter sub-category might take you to some meaningful Easter gifts, help organizing an Easter egg hunt with some Easter-related Scriptures you could include in the eggs, or some Easter movies and videos for various ages. (Some craft projects may suggest that you print out the patterns and/or instructions. If you don’t have a printer or a family member or friend whom you feel comfortable asking to print them out, remember that there are options such as some office supply stores, some libraries, and some Fed Ex or UPS stations where you can pay to print something from a website.)
In addition to help for holidays and special days, there is also a set of sub-categories under the Tips category. Some categories may have limited posts, but as time goes by I add new posts. Have some fun investigating the Tips articles.
