If you want to watch some pirate movies or play some games to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, maybe you’d like some green snacks to munch on.  I will offer you the recipe for “Spunky Avocado Dip,” which you can serve with taco chips (or regular chips, if you prefer).  Don’t let your avocados get overly ripe, like I did. The color of the dip will be prettier if the avocados aren’t so ripe.  I’ll also offer you the recipe for “Creamy Pineapple Dip.” Using it to dip green apples will add to the green emphasis.

Little dipping cups are nice to use. They help you use every bit of the dip, instead of chasing it around your plate. (I had saved some of the little containers from the individual applesauce servings you can buy, and they worked well. If you don’t have any little bowls the right size for dipping, maybe that will work for you, too.)

As a reminder, it’s recommended that you don’t leave items made with mayonnaise out of the refrigerator for more than a couple of hours. That would include the avocado dip.
