The fact that your children belong to you should be pretty obvious. Right? You provide a place for  them to live, make sure they have food to eat, watch over them when they’re sick, give them presents, take them to activities, and most of all you love them and want the best for them. So why should public schools think your children belong to them? This question should unite Republicans and Democrats in a common goal of making it clear that their children don’t belong to the schools. One of the best parts of American life has been enjoying your own children, while trusting that they are receiving a good education. In 2022 a shocking two-hour video– much needed to shed light on this subject– was released. It is entitled Whose Children Are They?

In this quality production you will see testimonies of parents, teachers, students, education experts, and also some immigrants who have experienced life under tyrannical governments. Their powerful statements will explain why schools want to control your children, how they plan to accomplish it, and what can be done about it.

In too many countries around the world where tyranny has existed, the state has believed that the children were their property. This presentation shows footage of what life has been like for children in nations under tyranny, where children were thought to be property of the state. Their education has consisted of indoctrination that would be used to try to force the children to think in ways that would benefit the leaders in controlling the population.

How are American public schools gaining control of the children? The producers of  Whose Children Are They? explain that the teachers’ unions are far- left and are setting the policies. Teachers’ unions finance campaigns for far- left school board candidates. Some districts force teachers to join the union. The teachers’ unions require all teachers to be treated the same. There are good teachers, and then there are activists masquerading as teachers. It was teachers’ unions that set life-changing policies of shutdowns during the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2021 and 2022. Although that crisis is over, we can’t be assured that another crisis won’t come along. The federal government has also had a big influence in schools, through the establishment of the “NEA,” or “National Education Association.”

The Far Left and Our Schools

One of the avenues the far left is using to gain control in American schools is creating chaos. This video reveals how  far left influences are encouraging lack of discipline in the schools to create chaos. Teachers are not allowed to use the discipline needed. Consequently, many teachers have suffered serious injuries, and some have even been forced to quit. Children may be terrified to come to school because of unbelievable incidents of harassment. A student who committed a mass murder had been disciplined 25 times, but nothing was done that could have prevented the shooting.

Another way the far left is attempting to gain control is by sowing division. By watching this video you will clearly see how schools are trying to create division among the students by the teaching of “CRT,” or “Critical Race Theory.” It sometimes hides in other terminology, such as “social-emotional learning,” “education equity,” “culturally sensitive teaching,” or “mindfulness.” Immigrants from tyrannical countries testify that leaders used the exact same patterns of creating division as CRT, but using elements other than race, to gain control.

A third way the far left is trying to gain the upper hand is by tearing down the family unit. Many who watch this video will probably be horrified by hearing of the explicit comprehensive sex education given to students.

One teacher explains some games used that I believe would mortify most parents. Special sex educators are sometimes hired, since some teachers are not comfortable teaching these things. A story is told of a kindergartener who burst into tears because she feared she might be a boy, after hearing discussions about gender in school. Teachers in many districts are not supposed to notify parents when their children want a sex change. Although some school districts show their curriculum online, they may keep their sex curriculum secret.

Yet another technique the far left has established for gaining control of students is dumbing down the curriculum in our public schools. Although America was once at the top of academic achievement, it has fallen many notches below other countries. The far left knows that well educated people are harder to control. Instilling hatred for America by abolishing the good parts about its history and emphasizing the bad, as well as twisting the facts when necessary, is also very effective for making students loyal to leftist ideology instead of the traditional American way of life.

Perhaps the most important points to pay attention to while watching Whose Children Are They? are those that explain how these control tactics can be subverted. The video expounds on rays of hope–establishing transparency laws, rooting out teachers’ unions, parental involvement, school choice, and voting in good school boards. [One idea I had was for every teacher to livestream their classes, if that were possible. Then nothing could be hidden from parents, and it may be helpful to kids who are absent due to illness in keeping up with their learning. Also, there would be proof of some of the misbehavior of students who need to be suspended.]

I believe every parent in America who has a child in a public school should see this video. For that matter, anyone who cares about children and about the direction of this country should watch it.
