Have some fun seeing who can remember the lyrics of Christmas songs the fastest. Some of the songs used in this game are traditional carols and some are secular Christmas songs, so that those not too familiar with traditional carols won’t be left out. Read the lines of the lyrics provided and see who can be first to fill in the rest of the line. Have a pencil and paper ready for the scorekeeper. Ask one or two volunteers to help the moderator by watching to see whose hands shoot up first and another volunteer to keep score by jotting down who answered the questions correctly. You might want to give a small prize to the one who completes the most lines correctly. (There are tie breaker questions at the end, for those who are tied.)

I have provided an introduction to the game to help us remember that some of the traditional carols may have become so familiar that we sometimes forget to pay attention to the meaning of the words.
