Why not let your Christmas tree honor the Babe whose birth we celebrate in a special way? One great way to honor Him would be highlighting some of the wonderful titles of Jesus that we find in Scripture on our tree ornaments.

Here are some special titles of Jesus we can display on our ornaments, as well as Scriptures where we find them:

  • Messiah – John 4:25-26
  • God with Us – Matthew 1:23
  • Lamb of God – John 1:29
  • The Savior – Luke 2:11
  • Son of God – John 3:16
  • Redeemer – Ephesians 1:7
  • Lord of Lords – Philippians 2:9-11
  • King of Kings – Revelation 19:16
  • Wonderful Counselor – Isaiah 9:6
  • Prince of Peace – Isaiah 9:6
  • Light of the World – John 8:12
  • Good Shepherd – John 10:11

If we really stop and think about The One who came to the earth 2,000 years ago, it can cause us to be in awe. Just imagine! The Son of God willingly left the glory He had with the Father  “before the world began” (John 17:5). He willingly came into a world filled with all kinds of troubles, knowing He would someday have to die a terrible death to pay for the sins of all who would believe in Him.

Below you will find printable copies of a page with Titles of Jesus tabs and an ornament pattern and a page with instructions for making the ornaments. But before you look at those, perhaps you would like to take a few minutes to absorb a video in which the gifted contemporary singer/songwriter, Michael W. Smith, performs his inspiring song called “Son of God.” As I write this, it has 1.9 million views.
