If you decide to reach out to kids in your neighborhood with some sweet treats this year, here’s a way you can also reach out with an explanation of the sweetest treat of all—God’s offer to forgive our sins and give us eternal life through faith in Jesus’ death on the cross. This leaflet lets kids know that Satan is a trickster. It tells about Satan tricking Adam and Eve and how he will try to trick us, too.
If you have an option of printing these leaflets on gold or orange paper, that would make them more colorful. Here is how you should fold them:
(1) Fold precisely in half the long way, with the print on the outside, of course.
(2) Fold in half again the other way, with the pumpkins on the inside.
(3) Fold the half with the pumpkins to the center fold, pumpkins facing out.
(4) Fold the half with “There’s Someone
else . . .” to the center fold, with those words facing out. Now the leaflet should be folded like a fan or accordion. The pumpkin picture forms the cover of the leaflet.
(5) Press down the edges of the leaflet while completely folded so that it folds as flat as possible. I rubber banded them in groups of ten to keep them tidy until I was ready to hand them out.
